If you have a Samanayr that you wish to breed, it must first join a Song (Samanayr herd). Song rules are as follows:

• Only stallions may create Songs.
• A beginning Song must have at least one stallion and one mare as members.
• There is a maximum of one stallion and four mares for each Song.
• The stallion must create a page for the Song, and all other members must have a link either to his page or the Song page.
• The stallion may not be related to any of the mares in a relationship closer then half-sibling, but the mares can be related to each other.
• When the Song is created, I must be contacted so that I know of its existence and can put it on the Song page. Send me the names and URLs of all of the members, and the URL of the Song page.
• Song names go "Song of the 'something''something'" The two 'something's are standard nouns and verbs. For example, there could be the Song of the Running Brook.
• If you are going to alter the Samanayr images for the Song page (ie, headshots, framing images), please ask first, as just doing so counts as altering the images and is breaking the rules.

Once your Samanayr is in a Song, it can be bred, but only when there are breedings available. General breeding rules are as follows:

• The chosen stallion and mare must be in the same Song.
• Each mare can only be bred once per breeding time.
• There must be breedings available. If not, don't apply!
• You must know the names of the two Samanayrs you wish a foal from, and what Song they are in (this is for the form).
• The Song must be registered, and up on the Song page (if you did register and its not there, it just means I haven't updated the page yet).
• Standard adoption rules apply.

If you own both of the Samanayrs that you want to breed, everything's fine. If you only own one of them, make sure the other parent knows that their Samanayr will be breeding, especially if theirs is the mare (they may want a foal from her themselves). If you own neither of the Samanayrs, contact both adopters and ask permission to use their Samanayrs in a breeding.

If you own the Samanayrs, but wish to give the foal(s) away, please let me know in the application (who they're being given to, and their e-mail address). Foals cannot be sold at any of the Markets, and anyone found doing this will be banned from the agency.

Breedings are generally announced at the City of Shar LiveJournal community, and also at various message boards.
